Pertamina Lubricants joins with Brad Jones Racing in Supercars

In line with the goal of expanding brand recognition within the Australian automotive industry, Pertamina Lubricants and Business Automotive Solutions (BAS) teams up with Brad Jones Racing, particularly sponsoring Macauley Jones.

Macauley Jones rose through the ranks of karting and Formula Ford before debuting in Supercars with a full-time drive in 2019.

Fondly known as “Macca”, the ’94-born racer started his career by winning the Australian championship’s Rookie of the Year award in 2012 and winning 4th in his final Formula Ford season in 2013. In 2013, Jones moved into the Dunlop Super2 Series with Brad Jones Racing, where he spent his first four full-time seasons. His final season in CoolDrive colours in 2020 saw him move up to 19th after finishing 21st in his rookie season.

In the current season, Jones is firmly under the Brad Jones Racing umbrella piloting the #96 entry, with support from Pertamina Lubricants and BAS.

“I’m excited to represent such a high-quality product within the industry while also helping to introduce the brand to the Australian market,” Jones said.

“All the team at BAS Auto and Pertamina have been as excited to learn about Supercars as we have been to learn about their vast product offering and it’s awesome to see the brand represented on the headlights of number 96.”

With a range of both every day-use and motorsport engine lubricants for Lamborghini Squadra Corse, Pertamina Lubricants manufactures premium quality car engine oil. With its fully synthetic base oil Polyalphaolefin (PAO), the Fastron product line has the highest performance in its class.

Pertamina Lubricants and BAS started and continues its support of Australian motorsport and development through the Australian Toyota 86 series and TCR Australia. In addition, they have also supported a number of local teams in drag racing and karting. Now, Pertamina Lubricants and BAS are widening their support to #96 of Brad Jones Racing in Supercars to further cement their presence within the Australian market.
