Luke King Racing

Sponsored Team from 2019 – Current

Luke has had success and experience in one of the toughest open wheel categories, the Australian Formula Ford. His dedication to learning the art of driving has set him up to achieve his high-flying dreams. Luke has had wins and podiums at national level open wheel sprint style races as well as becoming an Australian Endurance Champion. 2016 saw him become the third winner in the Toyota 86 Racing Series in its inaugural season debut.

In the 2016 T86RS, 4 out of 48 drivers were lucky enough to stand on the top step of the podium. Luke was one of these drivers. A breakthrough win at Sandown in round 3 of the championship saw him set the lap record and join eventual champion Will Brown, Formula Ford Champ Cameron Hill and V8 Utes Champion David Sieders as the only winners from the 15 race championship. Luke finished his 2018 season runner up in the Toyota 86 Racing Series after over 8 podiums throughout the year, then returning to the category with Pertamina Lubricants, where he finished vice-champion in 2019. King represented Pertamina’s range of automotive lubricants, Fastron, which has become synonymous with high performance internationally.

In 2021, Luke signed with Melbourne Performance Centre to drive an Audi RS 3 LMS in the 2021 TCR Australia, teaming up with Supercars star Chaz Mostert and finishing fourth in the title race after scoring a best finishing position of second at Philip Island.

Luke returns to the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia in 2022, grid competing in the DashSport Hyundai i30 N TCR, which was previously raced by Michael King. Luke took victory as he finished second in Race 2 at the Sydney Motorsport Park.
